MDHSA currently offers these services to its members, which are supplied wholly or in part by member dues.
- Membership card to use at businesses such as Borders to receive a homeschooling/educational discount
- Member Booklet
- Member Directory
- Member Small Business directory (depending on member interests)
- A newsletter published ten times per year: August to December, February to June; provides you with information on MDHSA activities, community activities, college preview days and more
- Webiste conducted by MDHSA with a Members Only section
- An e-mail Yahoo loop that provides announcements about legislative information, local activities, and information of interest
- A members activity e-mail loop to provide information on MDHSA activities for members
- An e-mail discussion group, where you can ask questions and get answers
- Resource library on homeschooling and other issues of interest to homeschool families - free to members. One book or tape could pay for the cost of the membership.
- Advocacy locally and statewide by experienced homeschoolers
- Member sponsored Field Trips and other Activities as there are willing volunteers
- High School formal banquet for 9-12th graders ages 14 and older as volunteers are available (this is open to the public)
- Workshops are provided free or at a discount to members
- MDHSA Law Guide is free to members who pick it up at the office (if it must be mailed, members must pay for shipping)
- Graduation Ceremony
- Two Co-Op Schools meeting in Northern (bi-weekly) and Southern Franklin County (weekly) and include parent support/enrichment meetings and class sessions for students with a variety of classes offered for each age group Nursery - Jr/Sr High.
- (Note: There is an additional Fee for the graduation ceremony and co-op to pay for building rental and other related expenses. There may also be fees for field trips and other activities.)

The above services can be provided only as we have parent volunteers and resources available. As an MDHSA member, you are invited to participate at the level at which you feel comfortable, but you are asked to participate!
In addition to the above activities, membership dues pay for operating the MDHSA office, a website, and a part-time administrator to facilitate the "behind the scenes" running of the organization.
